Ok, so
Ludachristmas was taken... what a bummer.
(PS... 3o Rock is truly a great show, I will take this opportunity to echo my sister's love for this brilliant show! It is also Al Gore approved... The highest seal of approval)
Speaking of presidential candidates... It seems that NH is the center of the Universe right now. We are under
siege with politics!
help! It is pretty exciting and overwhelming (the phone calls and drop-bys get a little irritating at times) but overall, I feel like I live in a pretty cool state. What an amazing opportunity we have as New Hampshire-ites to shape our country's future and play a part in such a profound moment in history. First thing this morning, Alise and I voted in the NH Primary. Our particular town hall, has a "Kids Vote" booth where kids get to join their parents in the process of democracy! How cool...
So, in keeping with the theme of children and politics, I stumbled into the school library yesterday to pick up my daughter at the end of her school day. Several children were glued to the screens of a long row of computers in the back of the room. It was quiet, and I was hoping that they were all engrossed in a well designed, educational game. Maybe some flash cards?? As

I
approached I noticed that the animated figures on the screen looked familiar. Hillary, is that you in combat gear, holding what looks like a semi-automatic??? Not possible! So, it seems that the
candidates have, indeed, reached out to the youth of America in a friendly game of paint-ball! In
Alise's particular game she was Hillary Clinton and seemed to be battling against
Barack Obama. So, it was no surprise this morning that, without
hesitation, she checked off her pick for president in the voting booth. Hillary can kick some serious ass at paintball, you go girl!! So, I found the game, but have yet to play... check it out at the bottom of this post. Hours of enjoyment and political release to be sure.

So we returned from Florida last week and, oh, how I miss it so. Everything was perfect and much props to my sister for making it all happen. I have to say that I was not at all disappointed when my flight got cancelled on New Year's Eve and I had to ring in the New Year on the beach with champagne in hand. Unfortunately, my sister is not the midnight kisser that her reputation might elude to, but she's not bad. Korey and Scott missed out... but considering their "grizzled old men" outlook on these kind of celebrations, our expectations weren't too high. I am assuming Korey was asleep on the couch by 10. Katie and I are actually not that far off from this, we really pushed ourselves to get off our asses for midnight... so tired. But, we can say that we had our toes in the sand for the ushering in of the new year!! Happy 2008 y'all!
