My bud Julie came back from living (way too long) in Hawaii and we had a nice long visit before her new Vegas adventure. It was so super to see her outside of her MySpace world! We took Alise and her friend Emma up Loon Mountain on the gondolas and got to play in all the rock formations/caves up at the top. The girls were having a blast... Julie and I realized that we had suddenly become old and lame after the first "cave adventure"... we were spectators/photographers after that. I also realized that hiking should not be in the cards for me anymore, but aside from that, what a beautiful and awesome day!

Alise is kicking some serious tush at soccer this year. She is VERY fast and is getting to be a little more aggresive this year. I'm more amazed that I gave birth to a child who even likes this evil sport! Legend has it that (Joe-Joe) her grandfather was recruited for Manchester United when he was a wee lad in Scotland so, sadly, her athleticism did not come from me.

Her team... well, they are like that fairy tale that my drawing professor would frequently use to decribe my work... When they're good they are very good and when they're bad.... well, I'll spare the negativity. Anyway, the thing that is so great about Alise and her team though, is that even when they are being crushed and pummeled beyond belief, they are still laughing, giggling and smiling the WHOLE time! I love it. I wish I had an image of the goalie the other day as the 10th goal whizzed past his head, he just smiled and shrugged. What a lovely bunch of cuties.
