happy first day of spring everyone...

.. oh, except you, New Hampshire... you need to wait until June 20th.

It has been exactly a month since my last entry and nothing has changed outside. It is the exact same miserable mess it was just 30 days ago. This has brought my seasonal depression to an all new low that I never knew existed. As I just re-read my last blog I remember feeling so optimistic that it would all end soon... that it had to, right? At least before the first day of spring!?!? Well, my friends, that day has come... and including the storm we had yesterday I still have seven feet of snow in front of my house. I had a crazy laughing moment yesterday... you know the kind where it is almost bordering on hysteria or tears... when I looked at the un-shoveled ravine up to my porch from the day's storm and realized that I was NOT going to shovel it, out of principle!! I doubt Korey was going to either... it was like a big F-U to mother nature!

You should see Alise's snow pants... holey God - and I did misspell that for a reason. They are so freaking HOLEY! I have turned into that nightmare parent that is patching her child's worn clothes with DUCT TAPE... literally, I kid you not! The other very sad thing is that right up against the house, where my dryer vent has tried to help melt away the evil white... there are daffodils sprouting!! Their poor brothers and sisters, buried under the concrete snowbanks within inches of them, so sad. Oh, and Google was also taunting me today with their homepage - Tulips? Cruel.

On a very positive note, Korey and I actually got away on our own last weekend to Kennebunkport, Maine and it was FABULOUS. I really think we needed the time away (and there was no snow there - a plus) We met some wonderful people, ate some phenomenal meals and even got to walk on the beach. We'll definitely be making another trip back there in the future.

For now... it looks like a few more weeks of hibernation.

Happy Easter to Everyone...

Thank you Easter bunny, bok bok.
